“Excellent situation, great value for the money, close to everything (at the beginning of the pedestrianised city center), beach on the opposite side of the street.
We’ve been going many years to a hotel in the opposite part of Levante beach (in the Bali area). Presumably, you can save money by going there, since it’s away from the city center, but this year we found this gem by approximately the same price, so we decided to give it a try, and we are pleasantly surprised by our choice

Pros:
Awesome staff and service
Close to everything (supermarkets, shops, restaurants, pubs…), you don’t need to worry about car or transport during your stay, just get out of the door and walk max. 5 minutes
Beach by just crossing the street
Surprised that meals included water and wine. Usually this is not included unless you’re all inclusive. Don’t know if this is always the case, we booked HB directly through the hotel website but did not choose any special tariff

I would not call this really cons, but things to take into account if you want to take an informed decision
Being downtown means that there’s not so much building space in comparison to being far away. Result: smaller rooms, smaller restaurant (don’t expect to find 25 course options or 15 different desserts in the buffet as if you were in a beach resort), no swimming pool, no garden, no night entertainment… You also have to pay for fridge (3€ day), safe, coffee machine… Having all this stuff for rent is a way (my guess) to keep room price low in comparison to other hotels in the area. There are beachfront hotels downtown which have all this stuff (incl pool and entertainment), but are considerably more expensive.
Parking in the area is impossible (streets are tiny, simply there’s no space). You have to find a covered parking in the area (the hotel has agreement with a parking nearby, 15€/day). Not an issue if you don’t come by car (as in our case), but find this worth mentioning

As I write above, we’re pleasantly surprised by this hotel, and we will surely repeat. Overall I think that the pros largely outweigh the cons (we did not have car, we don’t care about swimming pool having the sea 20m away, we don’t care about a resort that you don’t need to go out if you don’t want to, etc.) but this is our particular case. If you want some of this stuff, then you probably will have to pay more for another hotel in the area, or stay further away from the center/beach”
